In That Moment

I asked for a poetry challenge and I got one. Several ideas were thrown at the table and I loved every single one. I’ve written them down and will be using them later one. But the one that really felt right for me was my dear Kirstis idea; to write about failure.

So this one is dedicated to you Kirsti! Love you and thank you for this inspirational idea!

 

 

In that moment when you wonder so

Thinking about where that next step will take you

Finding that hidden right path to go

Based on everything you’ve ever been through

 

In that moment you must really look

Embrace the nostalgia in every way

Understand that every mistake you ever took

Will bring you to that perfect sunny day

 

In that moment when a new mistake is made

Don’t ever let yourself forget

As your spirit might seem to fade

For every mistake you make, happiness is in your debt

 

In that moment when you truly see

That the hard times were just a trade

For you to one day be free

No longer uncertain, no longer afraid

 

That is the moment when you understand

That they were made, but were never wrong

Mistakes and you walked hand in hand

It weakened you so you would one day be strong
