An Update

Hello you!

It’s been a while, and I thought it was time to let you know why!

Don’t worry, everything is fine (except for global warming, the Amazon Rainforest is burning, and we have psychopath bullies running the world.. Eeek.. Shit just got political!) but there’s some really big changes going on in my life.

Let’s start with the really good news first! Those of you who follow me on Instagram already know this. I had love come into my life, quite unexpectedly, some months ago. It’s a really wonderful story and I will tell you all about it in a post very soon. So for those of you who don’t gag from cheesy romantic content: stay tuned!

This wonderful guy is now a part of my little family, and he even moved in a couple of weeks ago! So, it’s official: He’s stuck with this awkward weirdo! Haha!

I was open to finding love again, but wasn’t looking for it, and was very much prepared for it to not happen. What I was even less prepared for was how it would make me rethink a lot of things. But more on that later!

More positive stuff!

I was pretty much away from both social media and real life social stuff because of a really big freelance job. I will spill the beans on that later on as well, but it was a very conscious choice to drop a lot of things and focus and that job. It was one of those possibly career defining moments, and I went for it with everything I had. The result of that was a lot of work during my summer holiday, and quite a few weeks with me working what felt like two full time jobs.

And now for something else:

I wouldn’t say that it’s something negative, although it is inspired by a lot of negative things. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about what’s going on in the world, what I want to do about it, and how I can help. When I look at what’s going on around us I find it hard to not lose hope, but I refuse to do so. This is our home. And the fact that we’ve been rubbish at taking care of it isn’t exactly a secret. I’ve made a whole lot of changes to the way I live my life to try to better my own life, the life of others, and the planet in general. I want my kid to have a future. I want him to be able to enjoy the wonders of life instead of having to fight to survive here. I want there to be a brighter future, even though it sometimes feels difficult to even imagine such a thing.

But I haven’t given up hope yet! And I’m still trying to do my part. I also feel like sharing the things that I do, not as a way to try tell other people what to do, but to maybe inspire and help.

So, that’s where a lot of the changes will come in. I will still focus a lot on books and literature, but I will also try to add more of my life choices, and some tips and tricks I’ve come to discover along the way.

I won’t say that I’m back, because I never left. But here’s to somewhat of a new beginning!

My Dream Day

As a Live a Great Story Ambassador, we get weekly challenges, and the challenge for this week was all about visualising your dreams. Writing them down with as much detail as you can, and to manifest it! Because when it comes to working against your goals and dreams, it’s so important to have a clear view of what it is that you want. Law of attraction is no joke guys 😉

So I thought I would share my dream day with you!

My dream day would start pretty early. I don’t really see myself waking up any place in particular, but it would be a place with an interesting view. Because when I get to where I want to be, anywhere in the world will be a potential office for the day.

I would get up and do some morning yoga, preferably outside with the sun on my skin.

Then I would meditate for a little while before it is time for a good and healthy vegan breakfast. After that I would make myself a cup of coffee and I would write down the things I’m grateful for, to start the day on the most positive note possible.

After that it would be time to work. I would bring my mac or a notebook to a nearby coffee shop and sit down for a few hours. There I would write away on my current project while enjoying good coffee, surrounded by wonderful strangers, and maybe some that were no longer strangers. I would get inspiration from the vibe around me, and I would put it into my written words.

After writing for a while, I would put away my mac/notebook, find my camera and start filming. Either from my “home office” or out and about, depending on the project I had in mind. This particular day that I have in mind, I’m somewhere new, and I would be walking around the city, exploring with my camera. I would capture all of the wonderful places and faces I would meet on my new adventure. Throughout the day I would taste interesting food, and talk to interesting people. Taking in the city and all it has to offer. Later, when I’ve uploaded all my footage and changed for the evening, I would go for a drink and have a look at what the city would be like at night.

And depending on what that evening would bring, I would either end up having a social night or to go back to my current home and end the day with some writing or editing.

And then I would crawl under the covers with a big smile on my face, already looking forward to the next day and all its new adventures!

So there you have it! My dream day would consist of writing, filming and traveling. I plan on doing a lot more of all three in the time that’s to come, and maybe my dream day isn’t as far away as I thought when this year started 💛

What would your dream day be like?

A 1000 Times Thank You!

Something amazing happened last weekend!

My YouTube channel reached a 1000 subscribers 😁

I’ve been trying to picture a thousand people in the same room, and it’s a lot of people! My channel is still a tiny one, but this was an important milestone to pass for me! I had it written down as one of my goals for 2017, and even though it didn’t happen before the year changed into a new one, it was pretty dang close!

I’m a very firm believer of manifesting ones goals. Writing them down, reminding oneself about them often and then working hard to get there.

Being a dedicated YouTube is a lot of work, and if I had more time on my hands, I would’ve loved to post more videos. But that’s another goal that I’m working towards.

For now, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who’ve subscribed to my channel. A big THANK YOU for all of the wonderful people I’ve come to know because of YouTube! And of course I want to really THANK YOU guys for all the love and support❤️

You, my lovelies, ARE THE BEST!

2018 is going to be a great year, and I lots of ideas for videos to come!

Thank you so much for watching, and I will see you in my new video soon 👋🏻

We did our first livestream EVER!

I’ve been curious about livestreaming on YouTube for a while now, and then when I visited a fellow YouTuber here on Saturday we ended up just jumping into it!

Nothing made ready, but was meant just as a trial run. We expected it to last for about 5 minutes and we ended up sitting there for an hour! It was a very interesting and new way to interact, and I look forward to trying it again soon!

If you want to take a peak into the livestream that I did with Leif Nygaard, you can see it here:

Loving our newbie awkwardness! Haha!

Big thank you to Leif for having me on his channel, and I look forward to the next one!

Finally Reunited!!

I finally posted a video a couple of days ago, and it feels really good to finally be back on track (almost) with my creative projects. The video I posted was filmed before I took my long break. During that break my camera just died on me. I felt kind of naked, not having my camera along with me whenever I was out and about. Bringing it along has become more like a habit after I started to vlog. I tried filming a bit with my phone, but the sound and the video quality wasn’t nearly as good as I wanted it to be, so I pretty much gave that up.

I sent my beloved Sony A5000 away to get fixed, dreading the possibility that it might not be covered by my warranty. Luckily it was! They had to replace the motherboard to revive it.

Today I got the text that I’ve been impatiently waiting for! My camera was back and ready to be picked up. I rushed over there after work and now we are finally reunited once again! We have lots of exciting and creative plans, and we’re going on some awesome trips soon as well! I can’t wait to finally start filming again! So much so that I’m actually charging it now while enjoying some coldbrew coffee and doing some writing. When I’m done with that, I’m taking my camera for a celebratory walk in Oslo to get some new footage. I can’t wait!!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful day!

I Was Thinking… Let’s Explore!

In April I went on a vacation with my mom’s side of the family. Our trip started out in San Fransisco, then LA and Las Vegas. This trip was a huge reminder of just how much I love to travel and explore the world. To see new places, get to know new people and watch the beauty of diversity.

This was my second trip to the US and I loved it just as much this time around. The people are so much more open and easy to talk to. If you talk to a fellow stranger (Norwegian) here most of them would immediately be uncomfortable and question your sanity. But when I travel I like to make new friends and get to know their lives as much as I can with the little time that I got. So screw you sanity and stranger danger! Hello happy stranger word exchanger! And we did get to know a lot of interesting people! And see some amazing places! I will be posting a video from the trip as well so be on the look out for that on my YouTube channel!

There’s no doubt about it that we are a curious species and I realized during my trip that I need to explore more.  (Explore More! See what I did there?) But I don’t have Bill Gate’s wallet or his private jet so my exploration possibilities are a bit more limited. So I’ve decided to explore more (I did it again) around me! Oslo has a lot to offer and I haven’t even seen half of it, so I’m going to start exploring my own town. And some other places around here in Norway whenever I have a chance. I’m going to make it into a journey. Some of the exploring will be on my own and others will be shared, but either way I will share them with you guys 🙂

So what do you say guys? Want to explore with me?

Let’s go!
