A legion from across the sea wants her dead.
The man she loves would die a thousand deaths to keep her alive.
The demon she fears would cover the lands in blood-soaked ashes to have her again.
Eramane is learning to accept her new life, a life that demands much from her. She is a Breather, and she has no idea how to be one. But when Eramane learns that a passage she opened between her world and the Reach cannot be closed, she will find herself on a treacherous journey searching for dangerous allies.
In the north are the Cloud Walkers; across the South Sea is a kingdom with a massive army. Both could end up destroying her and all that she loves, if the demon she thought was dead doesn’t do it first.

REVIEW
First off, I would like to thank Frankie and Amber for letting be join in on this fantastic ride and be a part of this book blog tour!
You can also check out my review of Eramane (the first book in the series) by clicking HERE 🙂
Now, over to the review!
The Writing
As I wrote in my review of Eramane, the way that Frankie Ash shifts between first person and third person perspective is very different from other books that usually just have one or the other. In the first book this caught me a little off guard but I did get used to it and felt like it gave Eramane’s chapters a more recognizable feel to them. The only time I got confused in this book was when it shifted between the perspectives in the same chapter.
Ash has created a very interesting and complex world and I loved that we got to know it so much better in this book.
Even though there were some minor flaws in the writing (could just be in the copy that were sent out) I thought it was beautifully written with an original and good voice.
The Characters
As this series progresses we really get to know Eramane and I find her to be a very intriguing character. There is so much depth to her and I really like the choices she makes throughout the story. She grows as a character and I look forward to see more of her development.
I must say that I do have a little crush on Limearsy! He is an amazing character with so much love and a bit of mystery. The perfect gentleman and also the perfect beast!
When talking about perfect gentlemen, we can’t not mention Eramane’s brother Samiah! The most perfect and protective older brother. Such a lovable character!
And then we have Adikhia. His anger and his thirst for Eramane’s love and for revenge is so strong throughout this book and I love that. No sugarcoating when it comes to Adikhia! I would have loved to know more about him though. I think there is so much more to him than what we got to see.
The book has many other characters as well and I enjoyed every one of them.
The Plot
I flew through this book and was never bored! It is an amazing and exciting story.
The love between Eramane and Limearsy was portrayed beautifully and I could really connect to them.
Kudos to Frankie for writing a story that is not sugarcoated. It is as brutal at times as it is beautiful.
It never felt cliché, which I appreciate a whole lot (cause let’s face it, a lot of fantasy books are very much so these days) and I was intrigued and captivated by this story from beginning to end.
Oh, and the ending really did surprise me!

I can’t wait to read the next book and I highly recommend the Eramane Saga!
